Volunteering
The Bureau is a voluntary organisation and is staffed almost entirely by unpaid volunteers. The front line advisers are backed up by other volunteers who help with administration, typing, collecting data etc.
Support is provided by the Manager and Deputy who are responsible for the day to day management of the Bureau and for ensuring that the service meets the quality standards set by Citizens Advice.
A Trustee Board made up of volunteers elected from the local community have overall responsibility for the Bureau.
If you have six hours or so to spare each week and would like to volunteer, either as an adviser or to help with administration, then contact the Manager or Deputy at the Bureau and they will be pleased to give you some further details.
